Port Phillip Prison (PPP) is a large men’s prison in Truganina with a mixture of both remanded and sentenced inmates. PLEA’s work at PPP currently focuses on court readiness.
Presenters assist remanded inmates with preparing for court through the Court Readiness program. This presentation focuses on bail, trial processes, working with lawyers and sentencing so that attendees have a sense of what to expect when they get to court.
